[Vortex] Are content-types and transfer-encodings supposed to work?

A lot of the other data I'm sending -- images, audio, etc. -- is  
already in compressed file formats. Running that through gzip tends to  
make it larger, if anything; and the data is already large enough that  
compressing it all would greatly increase the CPU time used by the app.
