Hi, just tried to build AXL 0.6.2 and have the same problem:

appending configuration tag "F77" to libtool
checking size of long... 0
checking size of int... 0
checking size of void *... 0
checking for a Python interpreter with version >= 2.3... none
configure: error: no suitable Python interpreter found

But in the AXL configure I can't provide --disable-py-vortex (at least it's not shown when I use --help).

Any idea?

That's really strange. I don't have any python stuff. Maybe the configure script has a quirk that it thinks the python stuff should be used?
