[Vortex] Install config with Python2.4

Hello,

I am attempting to configure a Vortex install on a system that is restricted to Python2 .4.  It appears the configure script relies upon finding python-config in order to setup the flags for python.  Unfortunately, it appears Python 2.4 does not come with python-config.  I was wondering if anyone has run into this issue?
