Uhmn....

Certainly!! hehe...

Ok, there must be some error or the files are just being copied in a
different place.

When you do a "make install", take a look throughout the logs it
generates to see the following
relevant part:

        make[3]: Entering directory `/usr/src/axl-0.6.9.b5308.g5312/py-axl'

If you ever happen to want to link against installed libraries
in a given directory, LIBDIR, you must either use libtool, and
specify the full pathname of the library, or use the `-LLIBDIR'
flag during linking and do at least one of the following:
           - add LIBDIR to the `LD_LIBRARY_PATH' environment variable
             during execution
           - add LIBDIR to the `LD_RUN_PATH' environment variable
             during linking
           - use the `-Wl,-rpath -Wl,LIBDIR' linker flag
           - have your system administrator add LIBDIR to `/etc/ld.so.conf'

See any operating system documentation about shared libraries for
more information, such as the ld(1) and ld.so(8) manual pages.

I highlighted bold the important parts where your "make install" should
leave your copy
of libpy_axl.a (.so, etc) along with your __init__.py files.

You can also send us the entire log produced by doing "make install" for
axl.

Let see with this details,
Best Regards,

PD: just let you know we are working on the port of Core-Admin
(http://www.core-admin.com)
to centOS...and as part of that effort, valvula and axl are components
used by Core-Admin..
...but I can't give you an estimated time to have it done :-)
